Benjamin won $x in a lucky draw. he donated 1/2 of the prize plus an additional $1500 to charity. (a) write down, in terms of x, the amount of money he donated to charity. After giving some of the remaining prize money to his family, he had $1500. (b) show that the amount of money he gave his family was $ (x/2 - 16500). (c) if the amount of money he gave to his family was $20000, form an equation in terms of x and find the amount of money Benjamin won.

    c=x/2+1500

    B:

    B=15000

    X/2-1500=Total left after charity

    F=T-B

    F=x/2-1500-15000

    F=x/2-16500

    C:

    X=charity+fam+been

    X=x/2+1500+20000+15000

    X=x/2+36500

    X = (x+73000) / 2

    2x=x+73000

    X=73000
