Mitch opens a savings account with $175. He plans on putting $70 into his account every month. He wrote the following equation to show how much money he has put into it over time.

y = 70x + 175

if x represents the months from the time he opened the account, and y reprensents the amount of money in his account what does the y-intercept represent?

    Y-intercept happens when x = 0

    y-intercept represents if Mitch doesn't add the monthly savings, so the savings account will still remain in $175
