300 people can fit into the gym for the basketball game. If 2/3 of the people have assigned seats and 40 band members are already seated. How many seats are remaining?

    200 + 40 = 240.

    the total amount of seats minus the amount filled

    300 - 240 = 60

    That means that there are 60 seats remaining.
