    Eight six-pack. 8 x 2.10 is $16.80, while 6 x 3.12 is 18.72.

    6-pcs pack = $2.10

    Hot dogs needed = 48

    Number of 6-pcs = 48 : 6 = 8

    Total cost = $2.10 x 8 = $16.80

    8-pcs pack = $3.12

    Hot dogs needed = 48

    Number of 8-pcs pack = 48 : 8 = 6

    Total cost = $3.12 x 6 = $18.72

The shopper should buy the 6 pcs pack because it is cheaper.
