The multiplicative identity property is one of the four properties of multiplication (besides commutative, associative and distributive). It states that any time you multiply a number by 1, the result, or product, is that original number.

The equation that demonstrates this identity property is:

    A*1 = A, where A is any number

    or 1*A=A

    A*1=A=1*A
