My dividend is 24. I am 2 more than my quotient. I have no remainder. what divisor am i?

    Divident = divisor * quotient + remainder

    24 = divisor * (divisor-2) + 0

    d^2-2d-24=0

    d=6 or - 4

    quotient is 4 of - 6

    so there are two possibilities, 6 or - 4
