In a group of 48 children there are twice as many boys than girls. How many girls are their?

    Let x be the number of girls in a group and 2x be the number of boys in a group. You are given the total number of group of children. To solve this, we have,

    2x = 48X = 24

    Therefore, there are 24 girls in the group.
