    1/2n + 7 = 2n - 5

    2 · 1/2n + 7 · 2 = 2n · 2 - 5 · 2

    n + 14 = 4n - 10

    n - n + 14 = 4n - n - 10

    14 = 3n - 10

    14 + 10 = 3n - 10 + 10

    24 = 3n

    24 / 3 = 3n / 3

    n = 8

    N/2 + 7 = 2N - 5

    N + 14 = 4N - 10

    24 = 3N

    N = 8
