    The answer is a. - 7

    1. Find g (2).

    2. Find f (g (2)).

    g (x) = x² - 6x - 7

    x = 2 ⇒ g (2) = ?

    g (2) = 2² - 6·2 - 7 = 4 - 12 - 7 = - 15

    2. f (x) = x + 8

    g (2) = - 15

    f (g (2)) = f (-15) = - 15 + 8 = - 7
