    A pyramid's face may be viewed as two right triangles joined back to back. Therefore, we can use

    tan (∅) = height/base

    To calculate the base of one of the triangles and then multiply it by 2 to get the base length of the pyramid.

    tan (42°) = 71/base

    base = 79 meters

    Base of pyramid = 2 x 79

    = 158 meters
