    H-cost one hod dogs

    s-cost one soda

    2h + s = $3.25

    3h+s = $4.50

    (3h + s) - (2h + s) = 3h + s - 2h - s = h

    h = $4.50 - $3.25 = $1.25

    subtitute to 2h + s = $3.25

    2 ($1.25) + s = $3.25

    $2.50 + s = $3.25 |subtract $2.50 from both sides

    s = $0.75

    Cost of two sodas:

    2s = 2 ($0.75) = $1.50
