Change 3 and 15/44 to an improper fraction: 3 x 44 + 15 = 147 So, 147/44
times the whole number (3) by the bottom number of the fraction (44 or denominator) then added the top number (15 or numerator). Once you get that number you put it over the original denominator in the question (44).
then you divide the two number so ... 147/44 = 3.340909091 < - That's your answer!
