Alice, Beth, and Charlene start climbing a staircase, each with her left foot on Step 1 and then her right foot on the next step they take. Alice climbs one step at a time, Beth 2 steps at a time, and Charlene 3 steps at a time. Each lands on the top step with her left foot. What is the minimum number of steps in the staircase?

    That is basically the the LCM of 1,2, and 3 or the lowest number that is divisible by 1, 2, and 3.

    That would be ... 1x2x3 = 6 steps

    answer: 6 steps
