How to represent the number 8.2 using base 10 blocks. How much each size blocks is worth?

    We can represent 8 with eight unit blocks. Also, we can represent 0.2 with two tenth blocks. So we have

    8 * (unit blocks) + 2 * (tenth blocks) = 8*1 + 2 * (0.1) = 8 + 0.2 = 8.2
