No matter what x we plug into our function, there are some y values that we will never receive - such as a negative number. The graph of this function is an upward opening parabola with its vertex at (2,2). Since the lowest y value we can obtain from this equation is 2, and it continues on toward infinity in the positive direction, the range is 2 to infinity.
