How many 9-inch-square floor tiles are needed to cover a rectangular floor that measures 12 feet by 15 feet?

    To cover the width we need 12:¾=12*4/3=16 tiles.

    To cover the length we need 15*4/3=20 tiles, so to cover the floor area we need 16*20=320 tiles.
