    3x - 2 (3x - 2) = 2 (-x + 4) + 3

    3x - 2 (3x) + 2 (2) = 2 (-x) + 2 (4) + 3

    3x - 6x + 4 = - 2x + 8 + 3

    -3x + 4 = - 2x + 11

    + 3x + 3x

    4 = x + 11

    - 11 - 11

    -7 = x

    3x - 2 (3x - 2) = 2 (4-x) + 3

Simplify both sides of the equation.

    3x-2 (3x-2) = 2 (4-x) + 3

    - 3x + 4 = - 2x + 11

    Add 2x to both sides.

    - 3x + 4 + 2x = - 2x + 11 + 2 x

    -x + 4 = 11

    Subtract 4 from both sides.

    -x + 4 - 4 = 11 - 4

    -x = 7

Divide both sides by - 1

    -x 7

    - - - = - - -

    -1 - 1

    Answer: x=-7
