How do you covert kilograms to metic tons

    1 kilo = 0.001 metric tons

    So, if you had 4 kilograms, it would be 0.004 metric tons. If you had 12 kilograms, it would be 0.012 metric tons. You're dividing how ever many kilos by 1000.
