    It's best to just memorize the multiplication facts up to twelve like on a multiplication table.

    To give you a better idea of the concept of multiplication ponder on this:

    5x2 is the same as 5+5

    Or 8x6 is the same as 8+8+8+8+8+8

    The first number is added together as many times as the second number (or vise versa).

    5 was added two times and was added 6 times.

    Although, there's a rule where it doesn't matter how you add things you get the same result. The same goes for multiplication. This rule is called the Commutative Property
