A square pyramid has a slant height of 4 2/3 feet. The base has side lengths of 2 1/4 feet. Find the surface area.

    Base = 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 = 9/4 x 9/4 = 81/16 ft²

    one triangle = 1/2 x 4 2/3 x 2 1/4 = 21/4

    four triangles = 21/4 x 4 = 21 ft ²

    Total surface = 81/16 + 21 = 25 1/16 ft²
