There are 4 fewer markers than crayons. There are 6 markers. How many crayons are there?

    Ten because 6+4=10. Just work backwards with questions like this

    Le C be the # of crayons & M the # of Marker:

    Translate the English into math language:

    M=C-4, since M=6 then 6=C-4

    And C=10
