So let's do the basic, adding. 5 kilometers on Saturday and 4 on part of Sunday. That's 9. So let's save that. Now for the meters. We know that there are 1000 meters in a kilometer. So add up 600 and 800. That gives you 1400 meters total. Now if we divide 1400 by 1000, we get 1.4. So that is how many kilometers he rode on Friday and and the other part of Sunday. SO now we just add everthing up. 9km+1.4km = 10.4, your answer.
