    Area of bed is 200 square feet

    Volume of solid it holds is 300 cubic feet

    Solution:

    A raise flower bed is 25ft long, 8ft wide and 1.5 ft deep

    Therefore,

    Length = 25 feet

    Width = 8 feet

    Height = 1.5 feet

    Find the area of the bed:

    Area of bed = length x width

    Substituting the given values we get,

    Area of bed = 25 x 8 = 200

    Thus area of bed is 200 square feet

    Find the volume of solid it holds

    Volume of bed = length x width x height

    Substituting the given values we get,

    Volume of bed = 25 x 8 x 1.5 = 300

    Thus volume of solid it holds is 300 cubic feet
