A square's side is increased by yards, which corresponds to an increase in the area by square yards. how many yards is the side of the initial square? the side is 5.92 yards.

    (x+3) ^2 = x^2 + 69

    x^2 + 6x + 9 = x^2 + 69

    x^2 + 6x + 9 - x^2 = x^2 + 69 - x^2

    6x + 9 = 69
