Not sure what to do here? Naomi has 50 red beads and white beads. The number of red beads is 1 more than 6 times the number of white beads. How many red beads does Naomi have?

    Naomi has 43 red beads. 7 white beads times 6 equals 42. 42 plus 1 equals 43. Sometimes you just need to guess and check using common sense. Otherwise an equation would be x + (6x+1) = 50, which would be 7x+1+50. Then you simplify to 7x=49 and get x=7. Then multiply by 6 and add 1 to get 43
