    16 gallons

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Consumption

    Since Monday and Tuesday are two days and each day, it's estimated that the consumption was 2 gallons hence to get the actual consumption for the two days

    Monday and Tuesday = 2*2 = 4 gallons

    Wednesday to Saturday has 4 days and each day, the consumption was 3 gallons hence total consumption is also given as a product of the days and the daily consumption on average. Therefore,

    Wednesday to Saturday = 3*4=12 gallons (We consider Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday)

    To get the total consumption, we add respective consumption.

    Total=4+12=16 gallons
