Ana found a cookie recipe that requires 1/2 cup of coconut oil to be used instead of butter. The Recipe makes a total of 100 cookies. The problem is that Ana only wants to make 25 cookies. Explain to Ana how much coconut oil she will need to use in an adjusted recipe to make 25 cookies instead of 100 cookies.

    What fraction of 100 would 25 be? In other words, what did you have to divide 100 by to get 25? Divide the coconut oil by the same amount. You will be dividing a fraction so remember to multiply the denominator by the number you are dividing by.
