A sledding run is 300 yards long with a vertical drop of 27.6 yards. Find the angle of depression of the run, to the nearest tenth of a degree.

    Use the simple trigonometry. Draw a right triangle where put the 300 on hypotenuse and 27.6 on 1st leg. Then use inverse cosine. it will give 84.72. This is the inside angle but we have to find angle of depression. so

    90 - 84.72=5.28 degrees.
