    Any two right triangles, similar or not, must have one pair of congruent angles, the right angles.

    If one pair of acute angles angles is congruent, then by AA Similarity, the triangles are similar.

    Therefore, for two right triangles to not be similar, neither of the acute angles of one triangle may be congruent to an acute angle of the other triangle
