How do you solve the equation 2 (4x-11) = 10

    2 (4x-11) = 10

    a. Distribute 2

    2 (4x-11) = 10 >> 8x-22=10

    b. Get the unknown variable by itself (add 22 on both sides)

    8x-22=10 >> 8x=32

    +22 + 22

    c. Get the variable to equal to 1 or x (Divide 8 on both sides)

    8x=32 >> x = 4

    8x/8 (so it can equal to 1x) = 32/8

    tip: x = 1x

    Answer: x = 4
