    First arrange them in ascending order:-

    17 20 24 25 30 32 35 38 40 42

    The median = mean of middle 2 numbers = (30+32) / 2 = 31

    Lower quartile = 24 and upper quartile = 38

    Inter quartile range = 38 - 24 = 14

    Its the first choice.
