(8x^2) + 4x=0
you would use quadratic formula which is - b + / - square root ((b^2) - 4ac) / 2a
a: 8
b: 4
c: 0
-4 + / - square root ((4^2) - 4 (8) (0)) / 2 (8)
(-4 + square root 16) / 16 = 0
(-4 - square root 16) / 16 = - 0.5
the two solutions are 0 and - 0.5
