The frequency with which a cricket chirps varies directly with the temperature. if the cricket chirps 100 times per minute in 80° weather, it will chirp how many times per minute in 92° weather?

    115 chirps.

    Since it varies directly, you divide 100 by 80.

    100 chirps / 80 degrees = x = 1.25

    1.25 x 92 degrees = 115 chirps
