    First ... we need to get rid of fraction ... the fraction is 5/6 ... so we need to multiply both side by 6

    6y = (6) (5/6) x + (6) (6)

    from that ... we get

    6y = 5x + 36

    so according to the "Standard Form" formula ... we need to rearrange

    Ax + By = C

    we subtract 5x to the left

    (-5x) + 6y = 36

    Standard form is

    ax+by=c

    a, b, c are integers and a is normally positive

    get rid of all fractions

    y=5/6x+9

    times 6 both sides

    6y=5x+54

    minus 5x both sides

    -5x+6y=54

    times - 1 both sides

    5x-6y=-54
