Find the arc length of a central angle of 36° in a circle whose radius is 2 inches.

    The length of an arc in a circle is radius x the angle (Ф).

    Mind you angle Ф should be in radian.

    1st let's convert 36° into radian

    36/180 = x/π===> x = (π x 36) / 180 = = > x = 2π/5 = 1.257 radian

    so the arc length = 0.628 x 2 = 5.585
