Explain the steps involved in adding two rational expressions

    In adding two rational expressions, we must sum up only the like terms. By that we mean to say that we can only do the operations to expressions with the same variables and the same exponents in each variables. We also take note of the signs of the numerical coefficient to better know whether to add them up or subtract.
