6 less than the product of 4 and a number x

    Expression is: 4x-6

    The 4x comes from it saying the product of 4 AND a number x meaning that those were the 2 given factors that you had to multiply.

    and i wrote - 6 because it says '6 less than' and when you see less than, in math of course, that usually signifies subtracting
