    Every day, it increases by 8 inches. We know that it started at 16 inches.

    We can construct an equation with this information.

    Equation: 16+8x=h

    h=Height

    x=Days

    Plug in 12 for x:

    16+96=h

    h=112 inches

    Answer: The plant will be 112 inches tall in 12 days.
