    5.3 kg

    Step-by-step explanation:

Remember that the formula for density is given by: density = mass/volume.

In this case we need to know the mass of blood in the average human body, so they given us the volume of blood that it's approximately 5 L and the density of blood that it's 1060 kg/m^3.

In accord with the previous formula we can calculate mass as the product between density and volume, but first we need to work with the units of the international system (also known as metric system) so we need to transform the volume units from liters (L) to cubic meters (m^3).

If 1 L = 1000 cm^3 then we know that 1 cm^3 = 1e-6 m^3 so it's a simple rule of three and we obtain that 1 L = 1e-3 m^3, now we transform the volume units using a simple rule of three again and we obtain that the volume of blood in the average human body it's approximately 5 L = 5e-3 m^3.

Now we do the product between the value of density given in kg/m^3 and the volume given and transformed in m^3 so the mass units will be kg.

Finally the total mass of blood in the average human is = 1060 kg/m^3 * 5e-3 m^3 = 5.3 kg
