A trapezoid has an area of 24 square meters. The lengths of the bases of the trapezoid are 5 meters and 7 meters. What is the height of the trapezoid?

    Write it as an algebraic expression

    24m^2 = (5m + 7m) / 2 x h

    24m^2 = 12m/2 x h

    24m^2 = 6m x h

    Divide both sides of the equation by 6m

    24m^2 / 6m = 6m/6m x h

    4m = h

    The height is 4m
