A scale of a room is 3.5 in. long and 2 in. wide. Scale is 1:20. What is the area of the actual room in square feet?

    First, multiply 3.5 by 20 and 2 by 20 to get the real width and length of the room (That would be 70 in. long and 40 in. wide). Then, change that into feet (Which would be 5.8 ft. long and 3.3 ft. wide). Lastly multiply the length by the width. The answer would then be 19.14.
