The Spanish Club at Little Middle School had 28 members at the beginning of the year. After having a Taco Tuesday party, the club had 35 members.

What was the percent increase in membership?

    First find the difference. 35-28=7. Next put it into an equation. 7/28=x/100. To get rid of the 100 and isolate the x, do 100/1 times x/100. You can cross simplify so that you only have x left. Next, do 100*7/28 and that is your answer.
