Let us assume number of yards of ribbon = y yards.

The manufacture is making 1000 times as many bows as Jeanne to sell in stores nationwide.

Let us assume number of bows Jeanne wants to make = b.

1000 could be written as 10^3 as the exponent of 10.

Therefore, number of yards of ribbon the manufacturer will the total =

y * b * 10^3. You can put the values of number of yards of ribbon for y and number of bows Jeanne wants to make for b if those values are given.
