Before the clowns arrived, only 35% of the children had happy faces. if 117 children did not have happy faces, how many children were there in all?

    117 children did not have happy faces.

    this is equal to 65% (100-35).

    therefore 65% is equal to 117

    so 100%

    (117/65) * 100

    180 children
