The school store is selling student planners. It costs $2 each week to advertise the planners. The store buys each planner for $2.00 and sells them for $4.50 each. Write an equation to model the amount of profit, P, the school store makes from selling x student planners in one week.

A. P = 2.5x - 2

B. P = 4.5x - 2

C. P = 2x - 2

D. P = 2x + 2.50

    The answer is A

    You have 2.50x because they make 4.50 for each one but it cost the $2 to get it so 4.50-2.00 = 2.50

    You subtract 2 because of ow much it costs to advertise the planners
