A company's annual production of ethanol, used a fuel for automobiles, was 33 million gallons in 2001 and has dwcreases by about 27% per year since then. Predict the year when annual ethanol production will be 5.6 million gallons.

    Because you can first try to find the percent of change from 33 to 5.6 so 33-5.6=27.4/33 =.83 which equals 83% then take 33 and multiply it by. 83 and it will give you 27.39 then take 33 and subtract 27.39 and you get 5.6. To know that it equals 3 years take. 83/.27 and it gives you 3, which equals the amount of years.
