Al's garden is 18 feet long and 30 feet wide. he wants to put fence posts the same distance apart along all sides of the garden. what is the greatest distance apart that he can place the fence posts?

    To get the greatest distance apart he can place the fence posts we calculate for GCF. Thus given the dimensions 18 ft by 30 ft, the GCF will be:

    (18,30)

    GCF=6

    Thus the greatest distance apart is 6 ft
