    No. You're trying to make something hard out of something easy.

    1 meter = 100 centimeters

    Look at that good and hard. Then look at it again.

    Notice that the number of centimeters is (100) times (the number of meters).

    This is always true.

    So if you have some meters, just multiply them by 100, and you'll still have

    the same length, but in centimeters.

    In your question, you started out with 0.09 meter.

    Multiply that by 100, and you get 9 centimeters.
