If a regression analysis was to be completed on body mass index (BMI), what could be an independent variable in that analysis? Why? If we could, what other independent variables should be included in the analysis? What statistic (s) would show the value of that regression in understanding BMI?

Body Mass Index (BMI) is used to get whether the person is fit or not from the weight and height of the person.

So, the value of BMI depends on the height and weight of the person.

Thus, BMI is the dependent variable and the independent variable is weight and height.

Age can be included as other independent variables that should be included in the analysis.

For getting the value of regression we have to calculate the mean of all independent variables.
