    f (x) = - x^2 + x^-1

    f (-2) = - (-2) ^2 + (-2) ^-1 = - 4 - 1/2 = - 9/2

    f (-1) = - (-1) ^2 + (-1) ^-1 = - 1 - 1 = - 2

    f (1) = - (1) ^2 + (1) ^-1 = - 1 + 1 = 0

    The range is { - 9/2, - 2, 0}
